Douglas Park School has been recognised with an award at the very first Learning Environments New Zealand Awards last night in the Renovation/Modernisation under $500,000 Category.
Super thrilled for our client. They were a joy to work with. We are just so pleased that we have been able to create spaces that have helped enable the innovative and creative approach to learning at the school.
This was one of the first projects for our young practice. It is especially satisfying that this award is for a project without a large budget that recognises our partnership with the school, creating a rich and varied learning environment.

“The Douglas Park Learning Hub project is a delightful scheme that illustrates the ability to make pivotal changes to the existing conservative learning environment to create flexibility, variety and connectedness without a large budget. This is the commendable scheme that had really been about a partnership between the design team and the school over a long period of time. The design team are to be commended for their detailed planning and consultation process, clear diagrams and response to the criteria and design outcomes.”
